in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern                    
are estimated on the basis                    
of figures for 1999 provided by                    
the Landesministerium fur                    
Landwirtschaft und Fischereis                    
in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern                    
Gross Value added in fishing is                    
based on total landings in                    
German ports including                    
shrimps and mussels (marine                    
aquaculture). Value added of                    
the fleet is 67% of gross                    
revenues in the old federal                    
states and 55% in                    
Mecklenburg-Vorpommern
